Jeremy Welsh   6-3 190   Union College   Junior   Bayfield, ONT

Undrafted NHL Free Agent

Welsh was a key cog in the Union College effort that landed the ECAC champ a spot in the Frozen four in Tampa.  With a goal and an assist Friday’s NCAA East Regional opening round win over Michigan State, the power forward from Ontario followed that effort with another goal in Regional-clinching win over UMass-Lowell.

Playing a typical power forward’s game of adding a physical component to scoring prowess, Welsh, the Dutchmen’s leading goal scorer this season, is near the top of the undrafted free agents that NHL scouts will be seeking to land once his season climaxes in Tampa.

After attending the Chicago BlackHawk’s prospect camp, Welsh put that experience to good use this season producing results sure to land the soon-to-be 24-year-old an NHL offer at season’s end.
